More info

Indium Fluoride (InF3) Powder, also known as indium trifluoride powder, is an inorganic compound with the formula InF3. It is a hexagonal crystal, similar to rhodium trifluoride. Each indium atom is octahedral. It can be formed by reacting indium oxide with hydrogen fluoride gas or hydrofluoric acid. Indium (III) fluoride powder can be used to synthesize non-oxide glasses. It catalyzes the addition of trimethylsilyl cyanide (TMSCN) to aldehydes, forming cyanohydrins.
