Nickel-niobium Master Alloys are reduced agents and additives in the metallurgical industry. The common alloy is NiNb65. Niobium can improve the mechanical properties, weldability, and creep resistance of nickel-based high-temperature alloys and special steels. Adding pure niobium directly into the melt is challenging due to its high melting point. However, using nickel-niobium master alloy is a convenient solution as it readily dissolves at or below normal operating temperatures. It is also effective in enhancing the mechanical properties of nickel-copper alloys, particularly in low-temperature applications.
