Free-Space Optical Isolator is a passive optical device that allows light to travel in only one direction, effectively blocking back-reflected light. It operates based on the Faraday effect in magneto-optical crystals, such as TGG and TSAG, which provide high extinction ratios, low absorption, and minimal optical loss.
