Praseodymium (Pr) Metal is a chemical element with the symbol Pr and atomic number 59 that belongs to the lanthanide series of elements. It is a soft malleable, silvery-yellow metal. It reacts slowly with oxygen when exposed to air it forms a green oxide that doesn't protect it from further oxidation. It's more immune to corrosion in the air than the opposite rare metals, but it still must be stored under oil or coated with plastic. It reacts rapidly with water. HM stocks a wide variety of rare earth materials for use in electronics, petrochemicals, metallurgy, machinery, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, and other fields. We also offer pure metals and compounds for R&D applications.

Praseodymium (Pr) Metal should be kept sealed and stored in a dry place, avoiding moisture and exposure to air. The small-sized products are packaged in cartons and the large-sized products are packaged in wooden boxes. The vacuum-sealed packing is 100g/bag, 500g/bag, 25kg/box. The special package could be made according to customers' requirements.
Praseodymium (Pr) is a rare earth element found on the periodic table and is known for its distinctive yellow-green color when in its oxidized form. It was first isolated by Austrian chemist Carl Auer von Welsbach in 1885. This rare earth metal is highly versatile and is often used as an alloying agent to improve the properties of metals, particularly in high-performance applications like aircraft engines. Praseodymium, in combination with neodymium, is a key component in the production of powerful rare earth magnets, which are essential in various technologies, from electric motors to wind turbines.
Praseodymium also plays an important role in the manufacture of didymium glass, which is used by glass blowers to create high-quality glass products. The addition of praseodymium to the glass helps to reduce the intensity of yellow light, making it useful in lighting applications, such as carbon arc lights. Moreover, praseodymium compounds, such as praseodymium oxide, are employed in ion exchange processes and in creating oxide coatings for materials that require high resistance to heat and wear.
