Zirconia (ZrO2) Ceramic Foam Filter is widely used for purifying molten stainless steel, carbon steel, and large cast iron castings. Made from high-purity zirconia (ZrO2), it offers exceptional thermal resistance up to 1700°C. With outstanding strength and resistance to thermal shock, this filter efficiently removes inclusions as small as a few microns from high-temperature molten steel. It also helps transform turbulent flow into smooth laminar flow, reducing the impact and erosion of the mold cavity. This results in smoother casting surfaces, improved product quality, and significantly lower scrap rates. Pore Size Selection: For medium and large steel castings, filters with 10–15 PPI are recommended. For smaller castings with higher requirements, filters with smaller pore sizes can be selected based on specific needs.
Filtration Capacity: Carbon steel and low-alloy steel: 1.0–2.7 kg/cm², Stainless steel: 1.0–4.0 kg/cm²
