Solubility

Insoluble in water, soluble in 40% (mass) hydrofluoric acid, can be corroded by concentrated nitric acid, not corroded by concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, and concentrated alkali, and reacts with 30% (mass) hydrogen peroxide solution to form a slightly yellow solution.

Electrical Property

It is a semiconductor at room temperature and undergoes a second-order semiconductor-to-metal transition above ~200 °C.
