MAX Phase Ceramic Powder is a unique class of layered ternary carbides and nitrides with a hexagonal structure (space group P63/mmc), where transition metal (M) and main group element (A) layers alternate. At the same time, carbon or nitrogen (X) atoms occupy octahedral interstitial sites. These materials exhibit exceptional metallic and ceramic properties, such as high electrical and thermal conductivity, excellent oxidation resistance, and mechanical durability. The MAX phase family includes the 211 series (e.g., Ti2AlC, Ti2SiC), 312 series (e.g., Ti3SiC2, Ti3AlC2), and 413 series (e.g., Ti4AlN3), along with dual-transition metal and high-entropy MAX phases that further expand their functional versatility. These materials are widely applied in high-temperature coatings, electronic devices, structural components, and energy storage applications.
