As the TiO2 content increases, the coating becomes denser, improving adhesion and mechanical strength. Compared to pure Al2O3 coatings, Al2O3-TiO2 coatings exhibit better toughness, higher impact resistance, and improved bonding to substrate materials. Additionally, when the TiO2 content exceeds 20%, the coating develops semiconductor properties, while compositions with over 13% TiO2 display a black surface with high thermal radiation characteristics.
