Lithium Hydride Anhydrous, highly hygroscopic, appears as a white or bluish-gray translucent crystalline or powder. It reacts violently with water to produce lithium hydroxide and hydrogen gas. With oxygen or chlorine at high temperatures, it forms hydroxides or chlorides. With nitrogen, it produces amides, imides, or nitrides. In ether, it reacts with aluminum chloride to form lithium aluminum hydride. Lithium is obtained at the cathode during molten electrolysis, while hydrogen gas is released at the anode.

Lithium Hydride Anhydrous | LiH | CAS 7580-67-8 belongs to the lithium salts range and is selected for controlled chemical identity, purity, hydrate state, impurity profile and packaging for moisture-sensitive or high-purity use. It is commonly used in battery electrolytes and precursors, catalysts, ceramic synthesis, laboratory chemistry, specialty formulations and materials research. When requesting a quote, confirm chemical formula, assay or purity, anhydrous or hydrate form, trace impurity and moisture limits, storage condition, documentation, packaging and quantity.
