Corning 7980 Glass Substrate is a high-purity synthetic fused silica made by flame deposition, known for its excellent optical and thermal properties. It offers over 90% transmittance from 200 nm to 2500 nm, low thermal expansion, and strong resistance to thermal shock and chemical degradation. Available in different grades like 7980 ArF and 7980 KrF, it performs better than standard JGS1 and JGS2 substrates. It is commonly available in sizes from 4 to 8 inches and is widely used in optical windows, laser components, and photolithography.
