Magnesium Manganese (Mg-Mn) Master Alloys are the lightest structural and hence suitable for application within the automotive industry, which has increased attention to vehicle weight and fuel economy. Manganese can improve the stress corrosion cracking resistance of magnesium alloys, and has little effect on the strong performance, but reduces the plasticity of the alloy.
