Vanadium Disilicide (VSi2) Powder is insoluble in cold and hot water, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid. It is also insoluble in ethanol, ether, and acids. The powder is produced by the direct reaction of metallic vanadium and monomeric silicon at high temperatures under inert gas protection.
