More info

Tungsten Heat Shields are constructed of multiple layers of tungsten metal panels, with a certain amount of space reserved between each layer of heat-insulating panels. It has two forms including cylindrical side heat screens and circular table-shaped end heat screens (upper and lower heat screens).

HM is a leading supplier of molybdenum and tungsten products used for high-temperature or vacuum furnaces, including Molybdenum Heat Shields, Tungsten Heater, etc.

Tungsten Heat Shield Applications

  • Used to provide thermal insulation and protect against high temperatures in industrial furnaces, including those used for sintering, annealing, and heat treatment processes.
  • Used in vacuum furnaces and other vacuum systems to maintain thermal isolation and protect sensitive components from extreme temperatures.
  • Used in electronic devices and semiconductor manufacturing processes to shield against high temperatures and provide thermal management.

Tungsten Heat Shield Storage and Usage Recommendations

  • Tungsten is a brittle material and must be handled with care.
  • When storing Tungsten products, the relative humidity of the environment should not exceed 60%, as they are prone to oxidation.
  • After firing or prolonged use, the Tungsten Heat Shields have fully recrystallized, resulting in fine grains and increased brittleness. It should be avoided as much as possible to prevent contact.
  • Tungsten is prone to oxidation at high temperatures, so the vacuum level should not exceed 10-3Pa during high-temperature applications.
  • It is recommended to use tungsten products in the high-temperature zone of more than 1800℃.

Tungsten Heat Shield Packing

Tungsten Heat Shields will be carefully packaged with foam padding in a carton, wooden box, or customized package to ensure minimal damage during transportation.
