Boron Nitride Description

Boron nitride ceramics offer excellent heat resistance, thermal stability, and conductivity, making them ideal for heat dissipation and high-temperature insulation applications. Chemically stable and resistant to most molten metals, they also possess self-lubricating properties. While they resist chemical erosion from inorganic acids and water, they start to oxidize above 1,200 ℃ and decompose in a vacuum at around 2,700 ℃. Their maximum use temperature is 900 ℃ in oxidizing atmospheres and up to 2,800 ℃ in inert reduction atmospheres.

Different Boron Nitride Forms

1. Cubic Boron Nitride (c-BN)
