Hexagonal BN is a composite of boron and nitrogen that is both heat and chemically resistant. It is the most robust crystalline type of boron nitride, along with graphite. Boron Nitride Rod has excellent electrical insulation, excellent chemical stability, and excellent dielectric properties. Boron Nitride(BN), Hexagonal boron nitride (H-BN), and hot-pressed boron nitride are good self-lubricate ceramics that can withstand high temperatures and maintain their lubricating capability in a high vacuum environment. HM's Boron Nitride rods are made from hot-pressed boron nitride blank. Hexagonal boron nitride (H-BN) behaves similarly to graphite mechanically but provides amazing electrical resistance. Hexagonal boron nitride rods are particularly useful when the electrical conductivity of graphite would be a problem.
