Gadolinium(III) Hydroxide Hydrate is a high water-insoluble crystalline Gadolinium source for uses compatible with higher (basic) pH environments. Hydroxide, the OH-anion composed of an oxygen atom bonded to a hydrogen atom, is commonly present in nature and is one of the most widely studied molecules in physical chemistry.
HM stocks a wide variety of rare earth materials for use in electronics, petrochemical, metallurgy, machinery, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, and other fields. We also offer pure metals and compounds for R&D applications.
Appearance: powder and chunks
Gadolinium Hydroxide all called Gadolinium Hydrate, is used for making optical glass and dopant for Gadolinium Yttrium Garnets which have microwave applications. Gadolinium Hydroxide is also used for making green phosphors for color TV tubes. It is used in many quality assurance applications, such as line sources and calibration phantoms. It is used for making Gadolinium Yttrium Garnet (Gd:Y3Al5O12); it has microwave applications and is used in the fabrication of various optical components and as substrate material for magneto-optical films. Gadolinium Gallium Garnet (GGG, Gd3Ga5O12) was used for imitation diamonds and for computer bubble memory. It can also serve as an electrolyte in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs).
