Gadolinium(III) Oxalate Hydrate is highly insoluble in water and converts to oxide when heated (calcined). Gadolinium Oxalate Hydrate is generally immediately available in most volumes. HM stocks a wide variety of rare earth materials for use in electronics, petrochemical, metallurgy, machinery, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, and other fields. We also offer pure metals and compounds for R&D applications.
Gadolinium Oxalate is used for making optical glass and dopant for Gadolinium Yttrium Garnets which have microwave applications. High purity of Gadolinium Oxalate is used for making phosphors for color TV tube. When mixed with EDTA dopants, it is used as an injectable contrast agent for patients undergoing magnetic resonance imaging. With its high magnetic moment, Gadolinium can reduce relaxation times and thereby enhance signal intensity.
