Gadolinium(III) Sulfate Octahydrate is a moderately water and acid soluble Gadolinium source for uses compatible with sulfates. Sulfate compounds are salts or esters of sulfuric acid formed by replacing one or both of the hydrogens with a metal. HM stocks a wide variety of rare earth materials for use in electronics, petrochemical, metallurgy, machinery, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, and other fields. We also offer pure metals and compounds for R&D applications.
Gadolinium Sulfate, also called Gadolinium Sulphate is used for making optical glass and dopant for Gadolinium Yttrium Garnets which have microwave applications. Gadolinium is used for making Gadolinium Yttrium Garnet, it has microwave applications and is used in the fabrication of various optical components and as substrate material for magneto-optical films. It is used for making Gadolinium Yttrium Garnet (Gd: Y3Al5O12); it has microwave applications and is used in the fabrication of various optical components and as substrate material for magneto-optical films. Gadolinium Gallium Garnet (GGG, Gd3Ga5O12) was used for imitation diamonds and for computer bubble memory. It can also serve as an electrolyte in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs).
