More info

Zinc Germanium Phosphide (ZGP) Crystal is considered the "standard" nonlinear crystal for mid-infrared applications due to its unique properties. With a high nonlinear coefficient (d36 = 75 pm/V at 9.6 μm) and excellent thermal conductivity (36 W/mK along the c-axis, 35 W/mK perpendicular to the c-axis), ZGP crystals also offer relatively high laser damage thresholds. The crystals have a wide transmission range from 2 μm to 12 μm, making them ideal for use in high-power mid-infrared harmonic generators, difference frequency generators, and optical parametric oscillators. Heeger Materials provides high-quality ZGP Crystals to meet the demands of advanced nonlinear optical applications.
