Available Ta-W Alloy Grades

Ta-2.5W

Ta-2.5W contains approximately 2.5% tungsten and offers a balance of increased strength and good processing characteristics compared with pure tantalum.

Ta-5.5W

Ta-5.5W provides an intermediate tungsten content for applications requiring higher strengthening while retaining tantalum-based refractory-metal characteristics.

Ta-7.5W

Ta-7.5W offers a higher tungsten level for applications requiring increased mechanical strength and high-temperature performance.

Ta-10W

Ta-10W contains approximately 10% tungsten and provides the highest tungsten content among the standard Ta-W spherical powder grades listed on this page.
