Application:

Cadmium telluride solar cell, low cost, and lightweight. Cadmium telluride thin-film solar cells are simply CdTe cells, which is a thin-film solar cell based on the heterojunction of Type p CdTe and Type n CdS. The general standard cadmium telluride thin-film solar cell consists of five-layer structures: back electrode, back contact layer, CdTe absorption layer, CdTe window layer, and TCO layer.
Cadmium telluride thin-film solar cells produce much cheaper than solar cell technology for crystalline silicon and other materials, then it is consistent with the solar spectrum and can absorb more than 95% of the sunlight. Based on the extensive and in-depth application research, CdTe batteries in many countries in the world have started to the industrialized scale from the laboratory research stage.
In addition, cadmium telluride semiconductors can be used for spectroscopic analysis, infrared electro light modulators, infrared detectors, infrared lenses and windows, phosphors, room-temperature γ -ray detectors, light-emitting devices near-visible light regions, etc.
