Selenium Dioxide Powder Applications

• Used as a catalyst for the production of electrolytic manganese.
• Used as a raw material for the production of selenium compounds (such as sodium selenite, sodium selenate, zinc selenate, barium selenate, and barium selenite), which are used as decolorizing agents, coloring agents, and feed additives for glass.
• Used as an important reagent that can be used to oxidize the α-methylene carbon atoms to form allylic hydroxy derivatives.
• Used as an agent for "bluing" steel, which forms a blue-grey sheen on the steel surface when heated to a certain temperature, which can protect the steel from rusting.
