More info

Copper (I) Telluride (Cu2Te) is an alloy of copper and tellurium. Tellurium improves the machinability of copper. Its crystal structure belongs to an unconventional zinc-blende structure, in which each copper atom is surrounded by four tellurium atoms to form a tetrahedral structure. This structure gives copper(I) telluride some special characteristics in optical, electrical, and thermal properties. At low temperatures, it can show ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic behavior, which makes it also have certain application prospects in spintronics and magnetic storage fields.

Heeger Materials offers a selection of over 100 high-purity products, including metals, metal oxides, and metal salts, with 99.999% purity or higher.
