More info

Tungsten Carbide/Cobalt/Chromium/Nickel Powder (WC-Co-Cr-Ni) is capable of producing coatings with exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of wear and corrosive environments. The coating's toughness and impact strength improve with higher Co and Ni content, while the corrosion resistance is enhanced with increased chromium content. Additionally, the particle size directly impacts the coating's performance. Smaller particle sizes result in higher coating density and hardness. However, excessively small particle sizes may lead to decreased powder flowability, affecting the spraying efficiency.

Tungsten Carbide/Cobalt/Chromium/Nickel Powder Preparation Methods

  • Agglomeration and sintering method: Mix WC, Co, Cr, Ni, and other raw materials, ball mill, spray granulation, and then sintered in a vacuum or inert atmosphere, to obtain spherical or near-spherical powder.
  • Sintering and crushing method: Mix WC, Co, Cr, Ni, and other raw materials, ball mill, press, and sinter, to obtain block material, and then through crushing, screening, grading, and other processes, to obtain irregular shape powder.

Tungsten Carbide/Cobalt/Chromium/Nickel Powder Applications

  • Used in hard-facing applications to create wear-resistant coatings on surfaces exposed to abrasive or erosive environments.
  • Used in thermal spray coatings, where it is sprayed onto the surface of a component using techniques such as high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) or plasma spraying.
  • Used in the production of cutting tools, such as inserts, drills, and end mills.
  • Used in the manufacturing of mining and construction tools, including drill bits, rock drilling tools, and road milling teeth.
  • Used to produce wear-resistant parts and components for various industries.
