Cobalt Spinel (Co:Spinel) Crystal is an advanced passive Q-switch material designed for lasers emitting in the 1.2 µm to 1.6 µm wavelength range. It has a high absorption cross-section, allowing efficient Q-switching in Er:Glass lasers pumped by flash lamps or diode lasers without requiring intracavity focusing. With negligible excited-state absorption, Co:Spinel enables high-contrast Q-switching performance, achieving an initial-to-saturation absorption ratio greater than 10. These properties make it an excellent choice for compact, high-reliability laser systems. Heeger Materials provides high-quality Cobalt Spinel Crystal with stable performance for various laser applications.

Cobalt Spinel Crystal is selected by Co doping level, absorption, wavelength range, aperture, dimensions, surface quality, parallelism, coating and damage threshold requirement. It supports passive Q-switching in eye-safe and near-infrared laser systems from about 1.2 to 1.6 um.
